Trump would not be first president to send National Guard soldiers to US-Mexico border: Jennifer Earl, Fox News       Earl's article from Fox News addresses the recent decision to send National Guard soldiers to the US's border with Mexico. Trump aimed to use the National Guard as a temporary solution to border security until his wall is competed. This decision was also made by the former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. The plan succeeded a considerable amount in catching illegal immigrants and drug smugglers trying to cross the border in the past.       I chose this article because border control has been a large topic of interest in recent news. I believe that this action to increase border security can create the same success as the past. Who inspires you?

      I believe that I take after my father in many ways because he is always a great role model. He works so hard and gives so much for our family, and he is always kind to everyone. I feel as if I should strive to become like him. I feel like I got a head start in becoming the best person I can just because I am his son.       I want to work my hardest everyday so I can give back to him. I want to push myself toward success so I can relieve my dad of his hard work and show him that it wasn't for nothing. He sacrifices and works so much, and I want to take away his burden by becoming successful. I want to provide for my family in his place in the future.

My Research Topic

    My research question is was the blitzkrieg strategy successful. The blitzkrieg strategy is the strategy used by Germany in World War II. The strategy broke through weak spots in the enemy line using armored forces while the air force was taking out the lines of communication. After they broke through, assault troops flanked the stronger parts of the enemy line from behind.     The strategy was successful against Poland and France, taking them over in weeks. After that success, Hitler decided to attack Russia. Russia stopped the invasion and this is considered a failure of blitzkrieg. I will argue against this consideration of the attack on Russia and others in my research paper.
