Trump aimed to use the National Guard as a temporary solution to border security until his wall is competed. This decision was also made by the former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. The plan succeeded a considerable amount in catching illegal immigrants and drug smugglers trying to cross the border in the past. I chose this article because border control has been a large topic of interest in recent news. I believe that this action to increase border security can create the same success as the past.
